Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and work at schools within the High Wycombe area. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of schools, supporting students with diverse needs and helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support: Assist students with SEN in their learning activities, ensuring they understand and complete their tasks.
- Support the class teacher: Help in creating a stimulating and safe learning environment.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to follow tailored plans for each student.
- Foster a positive learning environment: Encourage and motivate students, promoting self-esteem and independence.
- Monitor and record progress: Maintain accurate records of students' progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents.
- Assist with personal care: When necessary, provide support with personal care needs of students.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- Qualifications: A relevant qualification in education or childcare is preferred but not essential.
- Skills: Strong communication, empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt and support in various roles within the classroom.
- DBS Check: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
