Job Advert: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Headington, Oxford
Salary: £84 - £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant and supportive school based in Headington, Oxford. This is a full-time role, offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SEN coordinators to deliver tailored learning plans.
  • Assist with classroom activities, small group interventions, and one-on-one support.
  • Encourage and develop students’ confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable but not required
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's educational development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive and positive attitude to challenges.
  • Resilience and initative

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
