Job description

We are currently hiring for SEN teaching assistants to work in one of our schools in Hackney.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for more responsibility and experience in supporting students. Any cover supervisors or graduates with any relevant or related work experience are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.

The Ofsted rated outstanding school are looking for an experienced LSA to work 1:1 with a pupil. The pupil has learning difficulties, and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a school and working with SEN. 

This role will be full time and will start end of  January with minimum lasting the whole academic year with the opportunity to go permanent.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be confident, self-motivated, and professional with a passion for education
  • Be patient, caring and engaging
  • Undergo enhanced DBS checks - Child only
  • Live a reasonable distance from the Hackney area or surrounding areas (this is not a necessity and if you are willing to commute do not hesitate to apply!)
  • Be a positive and encouraging role model for students
  • Be enthusiastic while driven and highly supportive to the students and the school staff
  • Have behaviour management skills
  • Be punctual, resilient and willing to go the extra mile

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
