SEN Teaching Assistant – Grimsby

We’re looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Selby and provide vital support to a pupil with high emotional needs.
Location: Grimsby, Lincolnshire
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Your Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a pupil with an SEN, helping them feel safe, supported, and successful in a classroom environment. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Focus on providing 1:1 support to a pupil with high emotional needs.
- Help the pupil navigate their day positively and confidently, ensuring they thrive in their learning environment.
- Support across the classroom as needed, contributing to the success of the entire class.
- Assist with behaviour management while ensuring all pupils meet curriculum standards.
- Be a key part of the child’s development, fostering their confidence and emotional well-being.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a caring and experienced individual with a strong commitment to supporting children with SEN.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in education or childcare.
- Previous experience working with children.
- SEN experience or a passion for working with children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
