Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Darwen, providing vital support to children with Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Position Details:

  • Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Contract: Temp to Perm for the successful educator
  • Location: Darwen

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting individual students with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH in a classroom setting
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support for each child's needs
  • Encouraging emotional and social development to help students thrive both academically and personally

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
  • A flexible and proactive approach to supporting each child's unique needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
