Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:
- Assist in supporting the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans for students
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN in the classroom setting
- Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Help students with SEN to engage with the curriculum and participate in classroom activities
- Support students with personal care and mobility needs as required
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN
Education:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience:
Prior experience working in a school or educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of different types of SEN and appropriate support strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Mental Health First Aid training
Working Conditions:
- Work hours may vary based on school schedules
- Potential for some physical demands when assisting students with mobility needs
- Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
