Job description

Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking Specialist SEN Teaching Assistants to work within our SEN school. This role involves providing high levels of care and educational support to pupils who have complex special educational and sensory needs.

As part of a highly experienced and caring team, you will be supporting the holistic development of pupils by assisting in their physical, emotional, and academic needs. You will be working in a school that has excellent resources and facilities to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students or small group support.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating and delivering tailored educational programs that cater to sensory and educational needs.
  • Use specialist equipment to support students in their learning, communication, and motor skills development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with with SEN is preferrable. 
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
