Age group: 11 - 16 year olds
Contract: Full-time
Teaching Personnel are working with a local Secondary SEN school, to help find Teaching Assistants to support small groups of pupils who have Special Educational Needs.
Are you passionate to make a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a small and supportive school within an SEN School in Derby.
About the role:
- Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils aged 11-16 with a range of SEN.
- Collaborate with teachers to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning enviornment.
- Assist pupils in their academic, emotional and social development.
- Monitor and report progress, ensuring that each child achieves their full potential.

What we are looking for:
- Experience working with children or young people (especially those with SEN)
- A paitent, caring and ethusiastic individual with excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to the well-being and development of a young children.
- Relevant qualifications and training (eg, Level 2 / Level 3 in Supporting Teaching or Learning etc, Manual handling.) Are an advantage but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
