Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary School)

  • Location: Poole
  • Type: Full-Time (Part-Time Considered, 4 days a week)
  • Hours: 8:30am to 3:15pm

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student within a Secondary School's SEN provision in Poole. This rewarding role involves working one-on-one with a student who is wheelchair-bound and has additional needs, including Autism. The student is currently working at a Key Stage 1 level and requires assistance with both academic tasks and Personal Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to the student across all aspects of their learning and personal development.
  • Assist with Personal Care, always ensuring the student’s comfort and dignity.
  • Implement strategies to support the student’s needs, working closely with the SEN team and teaching staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment, helping the student engage with their peers and school activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in SEN, particularly with Autism and Personal Care.
  • Background in Care or experience working in specialist SEN provisions is highly desirable.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive impact.
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time, depending on your availability.
