Learning Buddy Needed!

Location – Ammanford

Pay Rate - £83.85

Hours – Monday – Friday (8:30am-3:30pm)

WE ARE HIRING! We are on the search for learning support staff & teaching assistants to work within our Ammanford schools. If you have previous experience supporting pupils in schools or have experience working with children that have additional learning needs, then we have the opportunity for you!

We are seeking the right individuals who are ready to have a positive impact on pupils within schools and have a passion for supporting pupils that need extra support. We want the school experience to be the best it possibly can for ALL pupils that’s why we want your help.

Our Expectations:

  • Support the class teacher in contributing effectively towards pupils learning.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of a variety of additional learning needs.
  • Experience working with additional learning needs.
  • Deal with a variety of challenging behaviour
  • Motivate & engage pupils throughout the day.
  • Work with small groups or a 1:1 basis
  • Be willing to actively support and contribute effectively towards learning of pupils within schools.
  • Have a “get involved” attitude, using their initiative to assist pupils and have a positive influence on their day!
  • Have a positive approach towards aiding the learning and development of young children.

What you need?

  • Experience working within a school (ideal)
  • Experience working with children (Essential)
  • Experience working with ALN (Essential)
  • Enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
