Job Advertisement: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Attached Provision within various Mainstream Schools across Wigan.
Salary: Up to £1900 per month!
Start Date: ASAP/January

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive team within an attached provision at thriving mainstream schools across Wigan.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils, either in a group setting or on a 1:1 basis.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and SENCO to adapt and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all pupils.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a school setting.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Be flexible and proactive in adapting to the needs of the pupils.
  • Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
