Teaching Assistant (SEND Specialist School)
Location: Mitcham, Greater London 
Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
Start Date: January 2025 

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a lovely 'Good' Ofsted rated SEN school in the heart Mitcham, Greater London who are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January. 

In this role, you will be working closely with children with ASC (Autism) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). You will play a vital role in helping them learn and develop their learning and life skills, alongside increasing self-esteem. 

Requirements:

  • Must have worked with primary aged pupils with Autism and have previous experience of this
  • Needs to be able to communicate in a variety of ways and have experience working with non-verbal pupils
  • Have worked with pupils who display challenging behaviour 
  • Be flexible to work with pupils from 4 through to 11 years old
  • Be able to adapt learning to support the needs of each individual student

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
