An award-winning Special Educational Needs (SEN) School Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the permanent staff at their Kidderminster site, starting in September 2024. Salary: Dependent on experience, with SEN allowance

Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs to students with special educational needs.
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic development through one-on-one and group interactions.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and contribute to their development and assessment.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting students' confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and parents, to ensure holistic support for students.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and contribute to regular progress reports.
- Assist with classroom management and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational or care setting is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special needs support (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the dynamic needs of the classroom.
- A proactive and flexible attitude, with excellent organizational skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to attend training as required.
