Job description

Specialist SEN Teacher
Location: Roehampton, Greater London 
Salary: Competitive daily rate 
Hours: Full-time 

Teaching Personnel have a wonderful opportunity to work with a fantastic specialist school based in Roehampton. 

Our client school is a school for young people aged 9-19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. 

They are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and passionate specialist SEN teacher to join their team. 

The successful candidate will work closely with other class teachers, SLT members and students in providing specialist teaching support to SEN pupils. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching a class of pupils while ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting address their diverse academic and social needs.
  • Upholding the school's positive ethos and core values within and beyond the classroom.
  • Providing timely and accurate reports to stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Governors (when required), and parents/carers.
  • Delivering precise assessments of student learning and progress, aligned with aspirational and appropriate targets.

Qualifications

  • You will hold relevant teaching degree (QTS, PGCE or equivalent) 
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service 
  • Previous experience of SEN teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
