Job Title: SEN Teacher – Full-Time – Parkstone

Location: Parkstone, Dorset
Start Date: Beginning of November
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

Teaching Personnel, the UK's leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join an exceptional SEN school in Poole, specializing in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils with ASD and SEMH.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the emotional and social development of students.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to create and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, adjusting teaching methods where necessary.
  • Provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEN, particularly ASD and SEMH.
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
