A school in Liverpool are dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children with special educational needs. Our school is a sanctuary for our most vulnerable students, all of whom have Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) in place. We are committed to helping every child achieve their full potential through individualized support, a broad curriculum, and a compassionate approach.

Job Description: They are seeking a full-time SEN Teacher to join their passionate and dedicated team. This role involves teaching a broad range of subjects and providing tailored support their students. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, caring, and capable of building strong, trustworthy relationships with students and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with EHCPs.
  • Teach a broad range of subjects, adapting lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to ensure holistic care and support for each student.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Create and maintain strong, positive relationships with students to build trust and support their emotional and social development.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably within a similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of EHCPs and experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
