We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Teacher to work with students who struggle with mental health, providing tailored support and helping them thrive in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualised and group lessons to students with mental health challenges, ensuring they receive appropriate academic support.
- Create a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and understood.
- Work closely with school counsellors, SEN (Special Educational Needs) coordinators, and other mental health professionals to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the emotional and learning needs of each student.
- Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and promoting resilience.
- Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve academic and personal goals.
- Encourage students to develop coping skills, build confidence, and improve their emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and involve them in their child’s educational and emotional development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with mental health challenges, SEN, or other complex needs.
- Strong understanding of how mental health impacts learning and behaviour.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a nurturing and empathetic approach.
- Ability to differentiate lessons and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Training or qualifications in mental health, psychology, or SEN is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
