Job Opportunity: SEN Teacher in Cardiff
Location: Cardiff
Position: Full-Time SEN Teacher
Pay: Starting from £166.32 per day
Teaching Personnel is seeking a proactive and experienced SEN Teacher to join a local SEN school in Cardiff, dedicated to supporting children with additional learning needs aged 3 to 11 years. The school caters to a variety of needs, including Social, Emotional, Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH), Autism, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons that cover the curriculum while allowing for creativity and improvisation tailored to the individual needs of the pupils.
- Work with small class sizes (approximately 8-10 pupils) and implement a multi-sensory approach to education to ensure accessibility for all students.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of differentiation in lesson planning and delivery.
- Collaborate with the wider staff team and actively participate in the school community.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a passion for and experience in supporting pupils with SEN. Previous experience in a special school is preferred but not mandatory.
- A proactive approach to education and a willingness to engage with all staff and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- A commitment to helping SEN pupils reach their optimal potential and the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
