SEN Teacher
We are currently working with a specialist SEN provision in Addlestone, Surrey that is looking for an ad-hoc teacher to teach a small group of secondary aged pupils with a range of learning needs.
Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to students with special educational needs
- Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - preferred
- Specialist knowledge/experience in teaching students with special educational needs
- Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- A clear understanding of special educational needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Additional training in specific areas of SEN such as autism or dyslexia
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a school setting, collaborating with other teachers and support staff. Part-time hours are expected, with flexibility required for meetings and training sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
