Job Title: SEN Specialist Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, West Thurrock

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored support and tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' specific needs and abilities
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' academic progress
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
  • Collaborate with other education professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Specialist knowledge or experience in supporting students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN regulations and best practises
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Strong classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
  • Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders

Working Conditions:

This role may require working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate students' schedules. The work environment will primarily be within educational home settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
