Role Overview:

As a 1-1 INA, you will work closely with secondary school students who require additional support to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will play a crucial role in their educational journey, providing personalized assistance and fostering a positive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to individual students with SEN in a 1-1 setting.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet specific needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the student’s social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective support.
  • Monitor and track the student's progress, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements.
  • Support the student in developing independence and self-confidence.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with secondary school students with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
