SEN English Teacher - Flexible working

Location: Salford, Bolton, Wigan

Are you a passionate educator dedicated to supporting young adults with Special Education Needs (SEN)? Do you thrive in an environment where every student's unique abilities are celebrated and nurtured? Are you looking for a flexible working arrangement through an agency?

As a SEN English Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating engaging and effective learning experiences for our students with autism and complex learning difficulties. From designing personalised learning plans to providing ongoing support and encouragement, you'll be instrumental in helping our students succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver English lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of our students with SEN, focusing on literacy, communication, and comprehension skills.
  • Utilise creative and adaptive teaching methods to ensure all students can access and engage with the English curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure that individual learning needs are met.
  • Monitor student progress in English, providing feedback and tailored support to foster their development.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices in SEN education and English teaching, participating in professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent FE certification in English, Education, and/or Special Education.
  • Experience working with young adults with SEN, preferably in a college or post-secondary setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs in English.
  • Flexibility to work through an agency, offering adaptable hours to fit your schedule.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
