Teaching Personnel are working alongside an SEMH provision based inTeesside. You will be supporting students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to develop their communication, independence and employability skills to make a successful transition into Adulthood.

The ideal Candidate should have the relevant experience and must be passionate when caring for others and is confident when managing challenging behaviours

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide support under the direction and supervision of teaching staff to assist pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in school activities
  • Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progress
  • Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task based on the expectations for individual pupils
  • Provide support for pupils with challenging behaviour taking account of support plans and risk assessments under the direct supervision of a teacher

A successful candidate must provide the following

  • Must hold an enhanced DBS registered with the update service 
  • Patient and Reliable
  • Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities
  • Be confident supporting children and young people
  • Worked as a Care / Support worked
  • Trained in Moving and Handling

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
