Job description

Do you have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs or Social, Emotional and Mental Health requirements? Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a caring and committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in South Yorkshire.

As an SEMH TA, you will be working closely with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing individualized support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

Your role will involve:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs
  • Assisting in the delivery of bespoke interventions and activities to support students' social, emotional, and mental health development.
  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
  • Monitoring and tracking the progress of students, providing feedback and recommendations to teachers and parents.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
