Job Title: Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEN School)
Location: Northampton 
Start Date: October 2024

We are a leading education agency, currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Northampton. This role will commence in October 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the mental health and emotional well-being of students in a classroom setting.
  • Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance.
  • Build positive relationships with students, helping them to develop confidence and resilience.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with mental health needs or SEN is essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent) are desirable but not mandatory.
