Job Title: Primary Teacher (SEMH) - December or January start
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Position Type: Supply Cover (with potential for permanent role)
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) boys' school in Guildford from January. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference in the lives of children who require tailored support to thrive in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality primary education to a small class of boys with SEMH needs.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and ensure engagement.
  • Promote positive behavior and emotional development, working closely with the SENCO and other staff members.
  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive academically and emotionally.
  • Support students’ social and emotional well-being, helping them build resilience and confidence.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required. We are open to applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
  • Experience or interest in working with children with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviors is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Passion for helping vulnerable students succeed, with a proactive and patient approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
