Position: Intervention Tutor
Location: Residential Setting or Public Library, Derbyshire
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience

About the Role:

As a tutor, you will provide personalised educational support to students who require an alternative to mainstream schooling. You will work in a nurturing residential environment or a public library, offering tailored instruction that meets the individual needs of each student. Your role will be pivotal in helping students achieve their full potential, building their confidence, and fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions in core subjects (e.g., English, Math, Science).
  • Create and implement individualised learning plans.
  • Engage students using creative and adaptive teaching methods.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and encouragement.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to education.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher or experienced tutor with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students in alternative provisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students with diverse learning needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in your teaching approach.
  • A patient and empathetic demeanour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
