The headteacher of a secondary alternative provision within the Burnley area is looking to welcome a dynamic, motivated educator to join their highly talented team.

The provision
This is an alternative provision aiming to provide education for children who struggle to thrive within a mainstream setting, therefore, the class sizes and considerably smaller to provide a holistic, personalised education. The staff work collaboratively to strive to enable learning through a personalised provision; working in partnership; and inspiring each pupil to reach their abilities and beyond.

The role
As explained, this is a non-mainstream setting requiring a more creative approach to teaching. The role will involve providing not only academic but also emotional and pastoral support to pupils. Whilst maintaining great behaviour management. This role will involve delivering core subjects to the pupils, implementing a personalised curriculum – aiming to engage and develop a love for learning. Therefore, having a sound understanding of the KS3/4

This role will be challenging but ultimately rewarding and a great way of gaining more complex teaching experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
