Secondary TA with English Specialism

Location: Clapham, Greater London
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £85 - £105 per day
Are you passionate about supporting students in their journey to master English language and literature? We are seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant with an English specialism to join our dynamic team in Clapham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the English department to deliver engaging lessons and activities that inspire student learning.
- Provide individualized support to students who need extra help in English, ensuring they grasp key concepts and develop their skills.
- Assist in creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for English.
- Aid in lesson planning and preparation under the guidance of experienced English teachers.
What We’re Looking For:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Strong GCSEs or equivalent in English language and literature.
- Experience working with secondary school students, particularly in an educational setting.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- A solid understanding of the English curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
- A patient, supportive approach to teaching and learning.
- Additional qualifications in English language or literature are a plus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
