Job description

A school in South Bristol is seeking an imaginative and artistic teacher who will support the school’s mission to develop students holistically through their core principles of dreaming big, doing your best and giving back. This role is a combination of creative subjects, allowing you to showcase your creative side in the classroom!

Whether you’re an experienced educator or an ECT, the school welcomes your enthusiasm and commitment. This is an opportunity for a teacher who has experience with SEN students and for those who have taught functional skills or BTec subjects.

The role:

  • Delivering engaging KS3 and 4 lessons that meet curriculum objectives
  • Managing student behaviour, ensuring the classroom environment is safe and supportive of learning as some of the children have SEN needs such as dyslexia, ADHD, ASC etc
  • Requires experience with SEN due to the students need
  • Delivering lessons-based subjects of music, art, IT and digital media/ computer science
  • Plan, mark and assess the work of students
  • Opportunity to initially work with Teaching Personnel, with potential for a permanent school contract

  • Classroom sizes of 10-12 students
  • Supports Specific Learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADHD, ASC. All students have a ECHPs
  • Has a record of considerable, academic success
  • Regularly offers and opportunities for career progression for the right candidate as a contract with the school can be arranged to the right candidate

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS Status
  • Has the ability to promote high quality teaching and learning
  • Can support in the elevation of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively with the school
  • Has excellent subject knowledge coupled with an ability to deliver inspirational lessons.
  • Has experience working with KS3 and 4. Experience teachingFunctional skills is also welcomed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
