Secondary Learning Support Assistant
Location: Earlsfield, Greater London, England
Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time
Salary: £90 - £110 Per day
Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Provide support to secondary school students with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students
- Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored lessons to meet students' needs
- Help students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy
- Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Relevant experience in a similar role within a school environment
- Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and different learning disabilities
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
- Ability to adapt support strategies to individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Additional training in special educational needs (SEN)
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours, typically during school hours
- Work within a secondary school setting
- Potential for additional training and development opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
