Location: Clapham, Greater London

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £130 - £165 Per day

Job Description:

We are currently seeking Secondary Cover Supervisors to join our team in Clapham, Greater London. As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students in the absence of their regular teachers, ensuring a productive and safe learning environment.

Job Duties:

  • Supervising students in various secondary school subjects
  • Managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning atmosphere
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans provided by the absent teacher
  • Assisting with any queries or issues that arise during class
  • Reporting on student behaviour and progress to appropriate staff

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths

Education:

Minimum of Secondary Education

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective classroom management abilities
  • Organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions
  • Knowledge of secondary school curriculum and teaching methods

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualifications
  • Experience working with secondary school students

Working Conditions:

This role involves full-time hours on a permanent basis. You will be working in a school environment, following the school's policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
