Secondary Cover Supervisor

Location: England, Greater London, Clapham

Salary: £650 - £750 Per week

Job Duties:

As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. You will ensure that students are engaged in learning activities, maintain discipline, and support the continuity of education in line with the school's policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage a classroom and handle challenging behaviour

Education:

Relevant qualification in Education or Teaching Assistance is desirable, but not essential.

Experience:

Prior experience working in a school setting or with children and young people is advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Understanding of classroom management techniques

- Strong organisational skills

- Ability to adapt to different learning environments

Preferred Qualifications:

- Teaching Assistant qualification

- First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

You will be working in a school environment, following the school's timetable and academic calendar. The role may involve standing for long periods and dealing with challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
