Do you have a strong knowledge of the Science Curriculum? Are you interested in becoming a 1-1 tutor with flexible working hours?
At TP Tutors we have an exciting opportunity to provide children with the academic support to achieve their maths goals within the Middlesbrough. We are looking for someone who can effectively support and work closely with students on a 1-1 basis to maximise the children’s potential in all aspects of the subject.
As a Science Tutor, you will be required to create, plan and deliver interesting and engaging sessions to children who are currently working below expectations. This role may involve working with children outside of a mainstream setting.

Science tutor role involves:
- Planning, creating, and teaching engaging sessions.
- Providing feedback, tracking progress of children, and planning their next steps.
- Implementing behaviour strategies to ensure the children are focused.
- Being aware of the child’s needs and interest, using this to adopt a child-centred approach to learning.
Tutor Requirements:
- Professional Teaching Qualifications are preferred (Qualifies Teacher Status, QTS).
- Substantial teaching or tutoring experience.
- Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided)
- Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
