Our team is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Science Tutors to join our team for the upcoming academic year. As a Science Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering tailored, one-on-one, and small group tutoring sessions to students within your specialist age and learning level. Your role will involve:
- Supporting students from various schools and local authorities, both in-person and online.
- Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet the specific needs and learning styles of each student.
- Providing additional support to students with SEN or EHCPs, ensuring that your teaching strategies are inclusive and effective.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
- Collaborating with teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s education.
- Motivating and inspiring students to achieve their full potential and develop a love for the Sciences.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the UK Science curriculum, whether specialist (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or general.
- Some experience working with students who have SEN and/or EHCPs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
