This role will cover students from Year 5 through to Sixth Form, providing a unique opportunity to engage with a broad age range of learners.
Job Description:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, fostering a love of science and curiosity in students from primary level through to A-Level. You will play a crucial role in preparing students for exams, ensuring that each child achieves their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students across Key Stages 2 to 5 (Year 5 to Sixth Form).
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including GCSEs and A-Levels.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the educational and emotional development of all students.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the science department and teaching staff.
- Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and CPD opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Proven experience teaching science at both secondary and primary levels (Year 5 to Sixth Form).
- A passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit students of different abilities and learning styles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- Enhanced DBS and on the update service.
