Science Teacher – SEMH Provision (Years 3-7)
Location: Three sites within a 3-mile radius
Position: Full-time
A dynamic and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Science Teacher to join a dedicated SEMH provision, teaching students in years 3 to 7 across three sites within a three-mile radius.
This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The students may display extremely challenging behaviour and require a resilient, understanding, and nurturing professional who can build strong, trustworthy relationships. By fostering engagement and trust, the successful candidate will help students develop a love for learning and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and adaptable science lessons to students across multiple sites.
- Manage challenging behaviour effectively, creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Build meaningful relationships with students to encourage participation and growth.
- Provide guidance and support to students who may have experienced trauma.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong resilience and the ability to work in a challenging environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with students.
- A commitment to supporting students with SEMH needs.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience working in SEMH provisions or with students displaying challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
