Science Teacher
Job description
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to join one of our client schools in Stockport.
The start date for this role is the 6th of January and will end at the end of the academic year.
After this role, based on good feedback, there will be other opportunities to work at other schools in the local area.
You will be paid in line with your Teacher Pay Scale.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- You will be required to complete planning and marking.
- The school that you will be working has often had issues with the behaviour of their pupils, it is essential that you are able to effectively control the classroom environment and manage the behaviour of students.
- You must be able to identify pupils who are struggling with the content of the lessons and set up support networks for them to achieve their academic potential.
Teaching Personnel are currently working with over 95% of schools across Greater Manchester, creating a lot of opportunity for you to find another school that will suit your preferences within a school.
To be cleared to work through Teaching Personnel, you must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check that will ensure that you do not have any criminal convictions that would prevent you from working within a school. Once completed, you will also be required to put this check onto the update service. You will be required to provide a minimum of two employment-based references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
