An OFSTED rated "Good" mainstream secondary school are working in close partnership with our agency to appoint a fully qualified science teacher on a full time basis, commencing in January 2025.

The school is known for its strong academic outcomes and excellent support networks.

 

Start Date: January 2025

Hours: Full Time

Pay: To scale ( on all full time, long term positions. Daily pay rates may vary)

 

Ideal Applicant:

- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent (QTS)

-ECTs accepted and encouraged to apply

- Bachelors degree in a Science

- Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 in a UK mainstream secondary school

- Subject specialism in Chemistry, Physics or Biology

- Ability to teach Maths too is a bonus

 

Job Roles/Responsibilities:

- Plan a range of biology, chemistry and physics lessons to cater to the individual needs across each class from Years 7-11

- Adapt lessons to suit the abilities within the class and have the ability to adapt activities on the spot

- Assess pupil progress regularly and provide timely and constructive feedback

- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department

- Contribute to departmental initiatives and help implement strategies condusive with improving student progress and outcomes

- Support the delivery of extra-curricular science activities, clubs, and events that encourage students to explore the subject beyond the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
