Job description

Science Teacher - Slough

Job Type: Full-Time hours

Salary: MPS/UPS

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum

Required Qualifications:

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching science at the secondary level would be benefitial.
  • Demonstrated success in student engagement and achievement.
  • Have previous experience teaching Biology Or Physics Or Chemistry up to A-Level (KS5). 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong subject knowledge in either Physics, Chemsitry, Physics.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting
  • Full-time hours with occasional extra-curricular responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
