Teaching Personnel are working with an exceptional College based in Salford, the college are looking for an experienced Science Teacher to join there dedicated team. pupils who go to this college are aged 14-18.

Key responsibilities

  • To plan and deliver engaging science lessons
  • To set high expectations for pupils’ behaviour, establishing and maintaining an excellent standard of discipline through focused teaching and through positive and inclusive relationships.
  • To create a stimulating learning environment for teaching and learning, using a variety of teaching methods which are appropriate to pupils’ learning needs and to the requirements of the curriculum.
  • To make effective use of assessment information and analysis to inform planning to maximise pupils’ progress.
  • To mark and monitor pupils’ classwork and homework, providing constructive oral and written feedback and setting appropriate targets to maximise pupils’ progress.
  • To encourage high standards of grammar, spoken English, and presentation of work.
  • To contribute to the development, evaluation and updating of Schemes of Work across both Key Stages.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Science or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • passion for science and the ability to make it relevant and exciting for students of all abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for hands-on experiments and interactive learning that goes beyond the textbook.

Commitment to fostering a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, inquiry, and discovery.

Location

      This School is based in Salford, close to local motorway routes and access to public transport links.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
