Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications (£100-£251 per day)

About the Role:

As a Science Teacher with Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of primary and secondary schools in Northampton, delivering dynamic and inspiring lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an early-career educator, you’ll play a key role in fostering a love for science and supporting student progress. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to choose short-term, long-term, or permanent placements based on your availability and interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science Across Key Stages: Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring concepts are accessible and stimulating for all students.
  • Inspire Curiosity and Critical Thinking: Foster a classroom environment that encourages students to ask questions, think critically, and develop problem-solving skills.
  • Differentiate Instruction: Tailor lesson plans and instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of learners, supporting both high-achievers and those needing extra guidance.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom environment, managing behavior effectively to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support learners to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other educators and support staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and share best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Specialization in Science (or strong experience teaching Science at KS3/KS4/KS5 levels)

  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to work in different school environments and tailor your approach to varied learning needs
