Job Advertisement: Full-Time General Science Teacher

Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire
Start Date: October Half-Term
Contract: Full-Time, initially until May 2025

Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science teacher looking to make a positive impact on the next generation of learners? We are seeking a dedicated General Science Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire, starting from the October half-term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Foster a love for Science by creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as Science clubs or school trips, to enrich the student experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science at the secondary school level.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for inspiring young minds.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest educational practices.
  • A dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
