Role: Science Teacher
Area: Essex
Start: April 2025
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience

A highly regarded Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join the staff of a rapidly improving secondary school in Essex. This school, part of a growing and forward-thinking trust, is committed to delivering excellent education and providing students with the opportunities and support to thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and assessments.
  • Foster a love of learning and curiosity in students, promoting academic progress and a growth mindset.
  • Support and uphold the school’s ethos, policies, and commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
  • Participate in collaborative planning and ongoing professional development.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Science or a closely related subject.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality Science teaching, with evidence of student progress.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • A passion for Science and a desire to contribute to the wider life of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
