Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a broad, balanced, and engaging science curriculum.
- Monitor and support the progress and development of students as both a teacher and form tutor.
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.
- Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and engagement.
- Support the school’s mission to provide a nurturing environment for personal and academic growth.
- Serve as a form tutor, supporting the well-being and personal growth of students.
- Participate in evaluating and improving teaching practices and departmental performance.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree in Science.
- Have successful teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Be familiar with National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
- Demonstrate strong ICT skills and experience with interactive whiteboards or similar tools.
- Exhibit excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Possess the ability to foster a motivating and safe learning environment.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
