Job description

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a secondary school located in Bognor Regis, graded ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted during their most recent visit in March 2023.  The school are seeking an effective teacher of science to join their department from November 2024 or January 2025, on a full-time basis, with the option of a permanent role for the suitable educator.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join an academy with a strong senior leadership team, who are supportive of all staff members.  The school has effective behaviour management and robust policies, and opportunity for career progression amongst staff, regardless of their role.

The institution is home to nearly 1600 pupils and boasts a thriving Sixth Form with over 150 students, where around 80% move on to higher education each year. Educators successful in securing a role with this school will be entitled to a pay scale higher than the national average.

  • Enthusiasm for delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Specialising in science with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4.
  • Desire to help pupils successfully master an ambitious science curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

The school are open to applications from ECT’s, experienced teachers, graduates (who specialise in a science related subject) who are seeking a career in teaching, or cover supervisors/specialists who may not have QTS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
