Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
Location: Derby

An award-winning SEN School Group is seeking a School Business Manager to join their team at their Derby site. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an exceptional organization committed to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs.
The School Business Manager will play a pivotal role in the effective operation of the school, ensuring that all non-teaching aspects are managed efficiently to support the delivery of outstanding education. Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Management: Oversee the school’s budget, financial planning, and reporting, ensuring financial sustainability and compliance.
- Human Resources: Manage recruitment, staff records, and HR processes, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Facilities and Health & Safety: Ensure the school’s facilities are well-maintained and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Administration: Oversee administrative functions, ensuring processes are streamlined and support the school’s vision and objectives.
- Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to contribute to the strategic direction of the school.
The successful candidate will be a proactive, organized, and forward-thinking professional with:
- Relevant Qualifications: A degree or professional qualification in Business Management, Accountancy, or a related field (e.g., CSBM, DSBM, or equivalent).
- Proven Experience: Experience in a similar role within an educational setting, preferably with knowledge of SEN requirements.
- Financial Expertise: Strong skills in budget management, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
- Leadership Abilities: The capability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A solutions-focused approach, able to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
