TP-Tutors is on the lookout for experienced tutors, especially those coming out of retirement, to provide English and Maths tuition in the Bournemouth area located in Dorset. As a 1:1 tutor, you’ll be designing and delivering catch-up programs for children in care or those not currently in school.

We’ve seen a surge in demand for tuition, particularly to support students preparing for their GCSEs. We need specialists in core subjects to meet this demand, but we also cater to KS1 and KS2 pupils, so your expertise is welcome, whatever your background.

Enjoy the flexibility of choosing how much or how little you want to work, making this role perfect for retirees who want to stay active and engaged without a full-time commitment.

To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent
  • Experience with primary or secondary-aged children
  • Enthusiasm, engagement, and resilience

It’s a bonus if you:

  • Have experience in 1:1 tuition
  • Are skilled at managing challenging behaviors
  • Understand Special Educational Needs (SEN) or are willing to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
