Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Relevant degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field
- Experience teaching Religious Studies or a related subject at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 level
- Deep knowledge and understanding of different religious traditions and ethical frameworks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to promoting tolerance, empathy, and social justice through education
Role and Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Religious Studies lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
- Explore a range of religious traditions, beliefs, and practises, fostering understanding and respect for diversity
- Encourage students to critically analyse religious texts, teachings, and ethical dilemmas
- Facilitate meaningful discussions and reflective activities that promote spiritual and moral development
- Support students in developing their own perspectives on ethical and philosophical issues
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Religious Studies curriculum and contribute to the wider life of the school community
