RELIGIOUS STUDIES TEACHER
ARE YOU AN RS TEACHER WITH PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE TEACHING WITHIN A SECONDARY SCHOOL?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a school in central Birmingham who are seeking a responsible and dedicated religious studies teacher who also has the capabilities of teaching across the humanities department where necessary.
Requirements for this role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant degree in religious studies, philosophy and ethics or other related field
- Previous experience teaching RS at a secondary school level
- Excellent knowledge of the religious studies curriculum
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN is beneficial
- Ability to teach/cover across the various humanities subjects is a bonus
- Ability to teach A-Level Religious Studies is advantageous
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and insightful lessons to classes across KS3 and KS4 varying your teaching style to suit individual needs
- Regularly assess pupil progress and provide timely and constructive feedback to enhance their learning and development
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department to enhance the learning and development and overall results of the pupils
- Uphold safeguarding principles at all times and escalate issues accordingly
- Ensure you follow the schools policies and procedures at all times
- Contribute to the wider school community through extra curricular activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
